This page explains how to delete your Appminton account. Account deletion removes your personal data from our system while retaining certain records for legal and compliance reasons. Please review the following information carefully before proceeding.

How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account directly from the Appminton mobile application. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Appminton mobile app
  2. Navigate to Settings (gear icon)
  3. Select Account or Delete Account from the menu
  4. Review the data deletion and retention information
  5. Tap Delete My Account to request deletion
  6. A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your registered email address
  7. Enter the verification code in the app to confirm deletion
  8. Your account will be deleted, and you will be logged out automatically

Once deletion is confirmed, your account cannot be recovered. A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address detailing what data has been deleted and what data is retained for legal compliance.

When your account is deleted, your personal identifying information is immediately anonymized and removed from our system:

What Is Retained (For Legal Compliance)

In compliance with applicable laws and for legitimate business purposes, the following data is retained even after account deletion. Your name is anonymized in all retained records, and only authorized administrative staff can access this data for audit or legal purposes.

⚠️ Important: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Your personal data (name, email, profile) will be anonymized immediately, but financial and session records will be retained for legal compliance (7 years for tax, 2+ years for disputes and competition integrity). You cannot recover your account or personal information once deleted.

Impact on Groups and Sessions

Groups you created: If you are the sole organizer of a group, the group may be deactivated or transferred based on our policies.

Sessions you organized: Ongoing or future sessions will be affected. We recommend transferring session management responsibilities to another organizer before deleting your account.

Sessions you joined: Your attendance records will be anonymized, but the session will remain in other players' histories.

Restrictions on Re-registration

After deleting your account, you may register a new account using the same email address after a 30-day period. This is to ensure all data is completely purged from our system.
